Expansion
Woodland Grange undertook the task of expanding both facilities and the residential capacity of their 7.5 acre site, in January of 2005. The aim, to create a modern and practical solution to their client's comments regarding conference facilities and a leisure offering. In May 2006 the venue opened the doors to its newest venture and now invite you to experience their state-of-the-art facility.
Conference Wing
The inclusion of a self contained conference and events facility, was of high priority during the design stage of the expansion project. Conference and Syndicate rooms were designed and built, directly beneath 3 stories of accommodation, linked too but kept separate from, the existing build. External Courtyard areas were included, as well as an area which serves on-demand refreshments throughout the day and night.
Conference Rooms
Three high-capacity conference rooms, positioned overlooking 7.5 acres of woodland views, were included in the project. Each of the three environments includes:
- Fully automated temperature control systems
- High-resolution, LCD, ceiling mounted data projection
- 6ft x 8ft, remote control front projection screen
- Fully customisable, lighting system with 3 preset options for the most common events
- Plumbed-in and filtered, drinking water system
- 9 easy access floor boxes containing power sockets, data and telephone points
- Video and DVD combination player, which also plays audio CD's
- Sound amplification system
- FREE Wireless internet connection
- Large windows offering natural daylight, with black-out option
The rooms have been decorated to an extremely high level, to create a relaxed and welcoming environment. Each room is complimented by the addition of a dedicated syndicate room.
Bedrooms
Each of the new bedrooms, 42 in total, are decorated to a very high standard, with detail and comfort very much at the forefront. Décor is neutral and mellow, creating a warm and inviting space to relax and unwind. The rooms include:
- King size bed
- En-suite bathroom
- Work station
- Hot drinks facility
- Data and Telephone points
- FREE internet access
- Terrestrial and Satellite television as well as radio channels
- LED alarm clock
- Ironing facilities
- Ample storage
- Floor to ceiling glazed wall
Leisure Wing
The need for on-site leisure facilities has become more and more of a standard requirement within the industry. Not ones to fall behind with the times Woodland Grange aimed to create an environment that achieved more than the norm and offered to meet the demands of our varied portfolio. Along the side the new, open plan reception area the design team created a modern and exciting development which achieved and exceeded everyone's expectations.
Internet Café
With the look and feel of a modern high-street bar, the café area has proven very popular in the evening. Its blend of specialist ambient lighting and external seating areas offers a new experience to those who visit. During the day the area is ideal for business lunches, for those who choose to take advantage of the time and catch up with business emails via the Internet terminals located here. If you just want to relax, the open plan design and fully retractable glazed wall create the perfect atmosphere, whatever the weather.
Games Room
This spacious room's conveniently located next to the Internet café and is available throughout the day and evening. Seating and tabling are available for those wishing to use it as a quiet area and it connects to a relaxation garden with water feature. For those looking for more stimulation, the room is equipped with a solid Maple, imported, 7ft American pool table FREE to all visitors.
Gymnasium
For those wishing to keep to their training regimen, this fully equipped, temperature controlled environment can offer a wide range of options. It hosts 8 cardiovascular machines and 4 multi-use resistance weight machines, which can focus on all the major muscle groups. The Cross-Trainers, Treadmills, Cycles and Rowing machines all have quick start options for novice users and preset programmes for those with more experience. The Shoulder/Chest Press, Lat Pull-Down/Seated Row, Leg/Calf Press and Leg Extension/Curl are easy to operate and are fully adjustable to your working requirements. The room also has a 32 inch LCD screen running a 24 hour music channel, plumbed-in and filtered drinking water system and a view of the beautiful laws if it all gets a little too much.
Spa
The temperature controlled room makes use of this area a comfortable experience. Towels are available in the Spa foyer and this leads into the main room from the changing areas. The Jacuzzi seats 6 to 8 people, comfortably, and is equipped with 2 user controlled air jet systems. Maintained slightly above the average body temperature, this can relax the stresses away easily and cleanly. The Saunarium mixes heat and mild moisture levels to achieve a comfortable and clean way to ease those impurities out of the skin. The perfect way to round off this luxurious experience is to partake of the "plunge shower's" ability to awaken more than just the senses, all FREE to anyone visiting the venue on a conference or training course.
